World Champ Lando

As an F1 fan since the mid-80s (!) I’ve seen my fair share of nailbiters, and this season finale was no exception! As a fellow Brit it‘s great to see Lando crowned champ, but he’s a driver that never seems to make it easy on himself. He needs to keep working on that if he’s to retain this crown.

Next year sees some drastic changes to the sport. It remains to be seen how successful these regulations will be in creating a broad, competitive field – this typically never happens at the start of a new F1 era – but we’ll find out in a couple of months. I’m cautiously optimistic. I’d really love Lando and McLaren to remain at the front, but not quite as much as I’d love to see the resurrection of Sir Lewis Hamilton.
