BBC threatens legal action against AI startup over content scraping
As much as I’m a fan of LLMs (mainly for code gen, occasionally for other research or travel planning), I feel these AI goliaths need to be held accountable for IP theft.
I wonder how much of their training data is copyrighted, and how much its removal would affect the quality of the model? Can such an injunction even be legally enforced across borders, especially given the deep legal pockets of Perplexity?
I guess we’re about to find out.
