I decided to open source the Pagecord code today. Closed source makes sense in business, but for side projects – not so much. Better to share, get feedback, improve, potentially inspire.

There's a chance the repo sits there with no outside interest, but equally it might encourage more people to try the product, file issues, keep me on my toes. We'll see. I'm hoping it also gives the product some longevity. If I get bored with it, or can't maintain it for some reason, it'll probably easier for someone else to carry the torch going forward.

I was hesitant to publish it because I'm not a badass programmer and I don't want a public roasting, but it feels good to show my work in this way. The product and all its bits and bytes. It feels oddly like a relief actually.

I'll do the same for Feedgrab soon.
