It's encouraging to see people trying Pagecord but a common complaint is the lack of community or discovery of other blogs. Sadly there still isn't enough traction for this to be a thing yet – most people use Bear Blog or Pika or Write.as. I should level up with features, but I lack time/energy. Tricky.

I've tried hard to promote the product for a year but nothing has really worked. I've chatted to a few people about helping, but there's nothing to show for this yet. If I could get a bit more traction, I'd be more motivated. It's a painful 🐔 and 🥚 problem. I 100% think there's potential in the product, but I'm pretty convinced I need an enthusiastic sidekick and/or some novel ideas.

Pagecord is open source, I want it to be non-profit (which it definitely is right now 😆), maybe even community owned, but there's little point in exploring any of this unless I can move the needle on demand. It's just a waste of time and energy otherwise.

The service has proved to be reliable and is really cheap to run, so it will keep humming along. I'll do my best in the coming weeks to add a few of the features I have in mind which might make it more attractive to the people who choose Pika or Bear instead. If nothing changes after that I'll need to think of another plan because there's absolutely no point flogging a dead horse.
