I use Google Workspace for Pagecord email. Google just emailed telling me they're putting up the price (they didn't tell me the new price*) because of significant added AI value. I never use any of their AI features – I can read and write my own emails. I've turned off all "smart features and personalisation" because I don't want it.
Presumably this increase is really to cover Google's own costs for delivering AI, nothing to do with any "added value" the majority of customers are getting? Just protecting the bottom line.
I'm only using Google Workspace so I can test the email sending and receiving features of Pagecord. It's probably time to move to a competitor like Zoho. Any recommendations? I'm already using Fastmail and HEY, so something other than that.
